How many contradictions and dualities live within each soul?

Fran Straube’s artistic venture embarks on the era of her third album, Venus & Blue with a single that has both an intimate narrative and a modern tone. “Tu Olor”, is the debut of Chilean actress Amparo Noguera (Una Mujer fantástica, Ema, and Tengo Miedo Torero) in music video format, directed by Cristian Pino Anguita.

Our darkest parts and the ones we bring to light, our loneliness and our need for interaction, what we show in public and what we keep within our own walls. Rubio, the artistic project led by Fran Straube and currently based in Mexico, begins a new chapter with the premiere of “Tu Olor” , the first preview of a long-awaited, third full-length album.

With an evident contrast between the romantic intimacy of the lyrics and the loud city vibe, the first release serves as an ideal preview of what Straube has in store: an album full of aesthetic, literary and musical dualities. “I like it because it’s strange”, says Fran about the song that is born inspired as if it were a love letter written in his own handwriting, and confronted with more modern and dense arrangements.

The sensory experience of listening to “Tu Olor” is amplified by a music video, directed by Cristian Pino Anguita, starring Amparo Noguera, and featuring performances by Mikclee Lafond and the singer herself.
