Zito has returned, bringing with her a six-track debut EP ‘Wanna See Red’. The project unveils Zito’s exploration of her sound , further harnessing the sensuous atmosphere she created in her first two singles. The project offers four fresh tracks, opening with the plucky horn grooves and rhythmic bass of ‘Away’, followed by sleek string chops on ‘Gutterlove’. Title track ‘Wanna See

Red’ showcases funky electric guitar and driven drums and ‘Witchcraft’ is a shadowy yet soft end to the project filled with lush synth production design. 

Throughout the EP, Zito effortlessly adapts to each of the backdrops, giving performances that entice, capture, and seduce. Themes of self-loathing, longing, love and lust are present throughout, wrapping you up in vast waves of emotion conveyed by the momentous instrumentation. 

“I am so ecstatic that we finally get to share this project with the world. These songs were all experiments in production, where I wanted to capture atmosphere and imagery in the sound and create a sonic landscape unique to each one. Hopefully listeners are transported the way I was working on them.

Zito first emerged in early 2023, her debut single ‘Slay’ featured a dark, neo-soul-influenced sound that expressed themes of toxic love with a sultry vocal delivery. Her music continues to showcase a balance between vulnerability and technical mastery, constantly evolving her pop experimentalism.
