“[Rubio] is versatile, leaning into cool darkness and existentialism”

“…is an electro-trap earworm, elevated by out-of-the-box production choices and [Rubio’s] hypnotizing vocals.”

“She finds in music the magic of living things again and the emotion of being alive…experiencing what fills her with happiness”

Los Angeles, CA (August 29th, 2025) –  Rubio, the artistic experiment of renowned Latin Grammy-nominated Chilean artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Francisca Straube, returns with her new single, “Voy Creciendo” via FAMA Collective. Produced alongside Pablo Stipic, the track previews Rubio’s new organic sound, abandoning autotune and embracing live instrumentation alongside her signature poetic lyricism. “Voy Creciendo” encompasses the feelings of fear and joy that one encounters during periods of self-growth, allowing us to enter deeper into Rubio’s world.

“I feel like some songs are more than just songs, they’re reflections of our own stories. For me, this song is exactly that: the beginning of my ‘new start.’ It was the first one I wrote for this album, and from the moment it was born, I knew it was something special,” shares Rubio. “Growth and change often scare us. We cling to what’s familiar out of fear of what’s next. But this song is about the courage to keep moving forward, a reminder that we never stop growing, and that every new step is a door opening. Every time I hear it, I get chills or feel like crying. It’s a wave of pure gratitude, of embracing my own story, and feeling excited for everything that’s still to come. I hope it makes you feel the same way.”

Directed by JASZ and filmed in Medellín, the video for “Voy Creciendo” mirrors the stripped-down sound with calm, earthy visuals where Rubio is seen in various poses of reflection, basking in the sun, relaxing in a car, and her feet hanging out of a giant box. This continues the tradition of immersive, carefully crafted aesthetics within Rubio’s artistic realm.

This release follows a prolific period for Rubio. Earlier this year, she released her live album Hacia Dentro – En Vivo. Displaying her electric stage presence, this project revisited key moments from her sonic universe, showcasing powerful live renditions of old and new songs from her catalog. In 2024, Rubio received her first Latin GRAMMY nomination in the Best Long Form Music Video category for her short film, Nacimos Llorando.  Plus, Rubio was on the road performing on her Venus & Blue Tour in various cities throughout the US, Latin America, and Europe. This week, it was announced that Rubio is part of the Lollapalooza Chile lineup for March 2026. Stay tuned for more news and new music from Rubio.
