Los Angeles, CA (October 17th, 2025) – Rubio, the artistic experiment of renowned Latin Grammy-nominated Chilean artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Francisca Straube, returns with her new single, “Nuestra Canción” via FAMA Collective. Produced alongside Pablo Stipicic, the track offers another glimpse into Rubio’s new organic sound, which abandons autotune in favor of live instrumentation, complementing her signature poetic lyricism. Rubio bares her heart in this intimate ode, destined to spark dedications for years to come.
“Nuestra Canción” is simply a love song. It’s very open-hearted and innocent, without intellectualization. I love its sound, sort of country, but with a modern twist in the choruses. It’s a simple song that came from the guitar at a bonfire, and I love the energy it has. Plus, it’s a song dedicated to my love,” shares Rubio.
Directed by creative duo AGRIO, and filmed in Topilejo, Mexico City, the video for “Nuestra Cancion” creates an intimate scene of a couple driving through green pastures, sharing kisses and silly games in between. It embodies the feeling of being free to be yourself with the person you love as you enjoy mundane moments with each other. This visual continues the tradition of immersive, carefully crafted aesthetics within Rubio’s artistic realm.
“Nuestra Cancion”follows a prolific period for Rubio. This month, her performance on NPR’s world-renowned Tiny Desk for their El Tiny was released, delivering an enthralling 4-song performance. Earlier this year, she released her live album Hacia Dentro – En Vivo. Displaying her electric stage presence, this project revisited key moments from her sonic universe, showcasing powerful live renditions of old and new songs from her catalog. In 2024, Rubio received her first Latin GRAMMY nomination in the Best Long Form Music Video category for her short film, Nacimos Llorando. Coming up, don’t miss Rubio on stage at Veltrac Music Festival (Perú), Día Maravilla Festival (Guatemala), SimiFest (Mexico) in November 2025, and Lollapalooza (Chile) in March 2026. Stay tuned for more news and new music from Rubio.
